Doors, trim & paint

Time is racing by and it seems difficult to keep up with the blog relative to the pace of work.  The drywall looks great, cleanup was completed on time and the painters were on-deck ready to prime the entire house right on schedule.  Doors were delivered and installed, followed by delivery of the moldings and the completion of all of the trim work.  This past week the painters were busy prepping the trim work along with 3 coats of paint on the trim and 2 coats of paint on the walls.  Next week Monday through Friday is our window to have the tile work completed.

  1. Tile work is well under way ... The mesh and skim coat have been completed and tile will be laid today, in the powder room, entrance hall and closet, and the laundry closet upstairs. Main bathroom is next on the list.

  2. We must be getting old ...... took longer than we thought. Only finished the laundry area and the powder room. Today we attack the front hall. Due to the temps outside we can't use the hose, so have to get water from inside the house. This and a blade change on the saw also added to our overall time consumptions. Some achy muscles today but should loosen up as we start the hallway.
